Hi all,
I am working with oil-based clay (Chavant NSP: Le Beau-Touch) on a
30cm figure. It is almost complete, but now I would like to harden its
surface for the final delicate details. Does anyone have an idea how
to do it?

Thanks.

Try sticking it in a freezer - works for me.

I simply use Le Beau-Touch HM which has the opposite property that you
need to work it hot. I'd just wait until the weather cools down and work it at
night with a window open. Take it out of a freezer and you'll get surface
condensation if you have any moisture in the air.

If you're pressed for time or don't want to wait for the freezer, go
out and buy a can of the CO2 spray used to clean computers and
cameras. If you spray it upside down it will freeze only a very small
section of your piece and make it easier to put the finishing touches
into it.
All the best,
Will
